Anyone ever have a problem with the VTEC solenoid not working?? My check engine light comes on every now and then and when I check the codes, it always comes out "VTEC system trouble". Any help is greatly appretiated!!

 

I'm having what sounds like the same exact problem. Just started last week and I've been back to the dealer twice to have the light checked. Don't know what to do about it so I'm looking for some help too!

I found out what it was... the solenoid was fine... it was the wire in the engine wire harness... I took a new wire and limmy-rigged it for one night, and absolutley no problem!

So the next day I ran a new wire, bypassing the engine harness solenoid wire... I ran it from just before the plug in the engine compartment to the solenoid... works like a charm... I can take some pics to aid you if you like...
