Vtec Problems
So I drive to work today and notice my check engine light is on. Well I get ready to go and I notice that I redline in 1st at around 20mph, thats odd I thought oh well next gear, then I redline at 40mph in 2nd, I think oh well coincidence, then I redline at 60mph in third. So I finally notice that when my tach reaches 4300 the car surges and the tach wont climb any farther just like hitting my rev limiter, Im not redlining fuck my vtecs messed up. Well I drove all the way to work like this with no Vtec boy its shitty but you can still hit a good 95.Anyway is there a fuse that controls the vtec system, Im hoping its something minor that I can fix myself any ideas?
Also when I got to work and parked I turned the car off and back on to make sure the vtec was messed up but this time it worked albeit jumpy around 4300

I thought about doing that but Ive already scheduled a trip to the honda guru round these parts. I noticed this started happening after changing my rear brakes, I would give the car power going through winding turns but the engine would kinda hold back on the power while in the curve tilll I came out of a curve then the car would surge forward and accelerate as usual. Well fnally the check engine light came on and here I am having to stay below 3,800 rpms for my entire 55 mile drive.
I had to reset my ecu on the way to work this morning because I thought I would get tricky and dissconect my VAFC so the people at the dealer dont screw with it, but I forgot my pressure and everything runs though it so I had to pull over re-connect it and then pull the neg cable and reset the ECU. It only took literally a minute to do everything.
