are volvos fast?!
last night in seattle a black volvo s40 (2000-2002 model?)pulled up next to me and was reving his/her (i couldnt see the face, too much tint) engine... and u could here the blow off valves, and his exhaust was freakishly loud... are s40's that fast? i didnt run with him... i ignored him as much as possible.. i kinda got intimidated...

the new ones are pretty quick..i dont remember the model number but they have a one out now that has a 6 speed and a pretty decent engine..however the old ones suck...i used to have a 940 GLE...0-60 in 16 seconds lol

most volvos will give us a run for our money. My bro had a mid 90's 850 turbo and that thing fuckin hauled

the turbos are fast... the nonturbos are pigs like us... the new volvo puts out close to or just over 300hp (i believe its the new s70)... its hot too!!!!

so yah.. they haul. my parents 98 S70 did the 1/4 mile in 15.6 or faster.

yeah there are some crazyfast volvos rollin around the NYC area..i remember i was tearin thru brooklyn a couple weeks ago...came to a stop light n noticed an all black volvo wagon in the rearview..took off at the light n thought i could leave em cuz it was a pretty good launch....pulled up next to me n passed like i was standin still i was like wtf does he have under that hood! caught me completely off guard.

Volvos aren't that fast because they're so heavy. All of that safety equipment adds serious weight. Here's their 0-60 & 1/4 mile times:
S60 AWD 7.4/15.8 $46,500
S60R AWD 5.5/14.0 $41,550
S80 T6 6.3/14.6 $47,540
XC90 T6 8.5/16.5 $43,670

The S60R is pretty sweet, if you like Volvos - 300 HP from a turbo 5 cylinder.

I asked blackack to lock it, didnt want it to turn into a complete shit show.. the 850 t5r's and s70R/v70r's can be turned into monsters.. the new model v70r comes with 300hp, awd and 13" brembo BBK's.. its a beast and one hell of a tuning platform.
