Whats up everyone, I just bought a '97 3.0 premium w/ 109,000 miles last month, wanted to see what you guys thought it was worth - i got it for 5700. Body is in great shape cept for a few scratches, runs like new

 

I have a 97 3.0 and it was hit. The insurance valued it about $9000. I was in perfect condition inside and out.

I'd say you got a good deal. It's a great car.

well i sold my 97 2.2 NON premium with 94K acouple months ago for 7700

so sounds like you got a good deal

 

Yeah, i got it from this indian guy that just moved here 2 years ago, i dont think he had any idea of what it was worth.

 

bought my 98 3.0 for 8500 w/ 108k...but that was from carmax includin the 1600 extended waranty

edit: this was with new tires and struts.. interior and exterior were in excellent condition

I got my 97 3.0 Premium with 130K miles on it from eBay for $3900. Runs great but body has minor dents and scratches.

 

I was trying to sell my 97, 3.0 with 190,000 miles and the KBB, Emunds and NADA says it worth roughly $5500. Am I crazy to think that my car isn't worth that much? It's never been in an accident and the mileage about 85% highway. I think the car is at lease worth $5000 minus the little highway nick in the hood. Usually people see the car and think it's in great condition always thinking it's like a 99 or higher....but then see the odometer and changes their whole attitude. What do you guys think?

well at ~200K thing start to just randomly break

 

Iguess I should add that I have had the following repaired and replaced on it at about 175,000

new ignition switch
new battery
new tires
new starter
new rear brake calipers and all around pads
new alternator

I have all the paper work for all of it as well. I think I have repaired quite abit on the car that you expect to go wrong....except for the transmission and engine, which are still running strong.....
