VALEO Ultimates...
No pics, but I just put on my new VALEO Ultimate windsheild wipers. They look awsome, but I haven't got any rain to try them out. Has anyone else bought these? I paid $29.00 with shipping for both through a buy one get one free deal on the Tire Rack.

I can drive to snow in about 45 min. But eh.... I don't think the CL will see it if I do go up there.

My car got drizzled on for the first time in I dunno 4-5 months today when I had her out of the garage, it was interesting, cuz she was still waxed
Needless to say, after I ran her for a while, found my coolant leak, etc. I pulled her back in and spent 20 mins towling her off with microfibers. My god I miss my CL haven't really driven her much in months cuz of the over stiff suspension (I have back problems) The dragging frame pulling out of my driveway, oh and the cracked radiator leaking coolant everywhere, but yeah. Worked on her yesterday for a while, sat in her and ran the motor, listened to the radio and just dreamed of putting new coils on her and getting her out of my driveway so I can drive it next spring / summer. She's so spoiled sitting in the garage all the time, but she needs to get out and stretch her legs. No more salt though, like I said in the other thread, the only cold she sees is the little wind gust across her butt when the garage door opens and closes.
Poor CL can't wait to go out and play though

I bought Rain-X tripple edge wipers and they lasted about a year. Before that I always used Bosch Micro edge. I just wanted to try something new, and all the reviews say the Valeos are the shit. As for cost, I really didn't want to spend $40 to $60 a peice for them, but the deal on Tire Rack was unbeatable. Icons and Valeo 900s are about the same. I think the Bosch Icons are stiffer and heavier. But as far as appearance, there is little difference between the two. I adjusted my wiper arms so that they sit lower at rest. The wiper profile is so much less now. But, still no rain. We might get some rain and snow this week. But it won't ammount to anything spectacular, just enough to see if I like them. If so, I'm going to order them for the wife's car. I sure do like the way they look. As for Rain-X eating rubber, I can beleive it. part of the problem is that Rain-X and other sheeting agents use naptha as a dehidrator. This sucks the moisture out of the blade rubber and causes them to deteriorate. But on average, wipers should be replaced every year or so anyway.
i have these Reflex Wiper blades from Canadian Tire. they are the ones with the hingeless design. i'm sure some of you have the Canadian Tire guy advertising them. i have to say they work well - to well. when they wipe one way they get rid of all the water. its when they come back down there is not water left on the windshield so there is mad friction between the blade and the winshield. this leads to the blade skipping and making a horrible sound - similar to someone farting. i need new wipers.

Oh well, to each his own. I've been thinking about Aquapel. A friend of mine loves it.
As for the blades, single-peice units are definately better than frame-type wipers.

one piece rubber blades are sick, I love em. AJ, you should really try some aquapel, it lasts forever. You won't need to reapply rain-x or anything, it lasts for at least 6 months, i went 8 months without reapplying and still had beads forming
