I used niedejb's diagram for installation on my 97 3.0 and it didnt match up at all. It used the h3-c diagram from the manual and mine is similar to H5-a. So I thought that hey the color of the wire should be the same, and in the general direction. Boy did I fuck up. I had the power and ground right and thats it. luckily I didnt mess with the settings because the only thing that works on the VAFC is the power and ground, it doesnt pick up any other signals! What ecu diagram should I use! PLEASE HELP I NEED THIS ASAP!!! MY abs light also turned on. Please respond!!

Ok here is how my ecu looks (this is with it un bolted, and the stickered side facing you)
The left plug has 11 collums and 2 rows, On the row farthest away from you the wires look like this:
#1 Black (this is the ground) #2 yellow/red #3 blue/white #4 none #5 black/orange #6 none #7 blue/yellow #8 green/yellow #9 grey #10 light blue #11 green/white
The row underneath that (closest to you and the decals) is
#1 yellow/black (power) #2 black #3 none #4 none #5 none #6 none #7 green/blue #8 green #9 teal #10 brown #11 yellow/green
On the right plug there are 13 collums and 2 rows. Once again the ecu has the stickered side facing you. The far collum has:
#1 Black #2 black #3 blue/white #4-#7 none #8 yellow #9 none #10 green #11 yellow/white #12 yellow black #13 yellow/blue
the row under that has:
#1 white/black #2 black #3 green/red #4 red #5-8 none #9white/blue #9 none #10 red/white #11 red/white #12 red/black #13 red/blue

I told you none of the diagrams are correct.

You need a service manual or get someone with a 3.0 to help you with the wiring.

 

O i know you said that it was just frustrating because I thought that the new added sheet (you get from their website) would work, but apparantley is doesnt. DOES ANYONE HAVE A SHOP MANUAL THAT CAN TELL ME WHAT OUR ECU LAYOUT IS?!?!

 

i only have a helms for 2.2 so mine wouldn't help you
pm fastvteccl or someone else with 3.0 and vafc

call apexi on monday, they should be able to help you

alot of shops nowadays have the helms on the computer, call around and see if they can give you a printout for 5 bucks

i think thats what the performance shop used but i will take pics for you on sun and send them to you. i have been just really busy and couldnt get around to it. but i will, man will you love it i will take pics for you and i will send you the info on how it was done

OK I REALLY am a total moron! I tapped into the ABS module! NOT THE ECU! GOD AM I DUMB! Well time to reconnect everything!

man it is the j30a engine diagram
it is the h6-a diagram. i checked it out.

double check i am calling the performance shop that my buddy did mine at for me but i am almost positive it is the odyessy diagram and it is the j30a engine type. but i will post more info soon on it. msg me anyone if you have question about the vafc i can help out in anyway. luckyax2 i hope i have helped you a great deal the pics are to come today when i get out there and disassemblem it.
