Vafc

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could try and help me decide if I should get a vafc. If I bought one, would it do any good considering the only engine mod that I have is an intake? Oh and would it not get rid of the need for an air/fuel mixture gauge? Thanks in advance.

we dynoed an tuned a civic with a b20b (CRV motor) in it and the v-afc gave 14hp at 5500rpm, there was no max power gain though, just smoothened out the fuel curve. i cant decide whether to buy one or to spend 1800 and get the greddy programable ecu.

I got the v-afc and the only thing i like about it is that my vtech kicks in 3100 rpm. performance wise i see no real power gains.
i heard it works best on DOHC

Hey Jacob, sorry I never got back to you about my vafc that was for sale!! I totally forgot about my posting that up! I never goto the black market and it just slipped my mind. Let me know if you still want it..I will still let you have it at 300 + shipping. If you dont want it, it is still up for sale to anyone else...but jacob has priority. Sorry again..

Oh I still need to find out how much shipping would be, but if I get a serious buyer, I will go and find out.

if you know how to use a vafc. you'd realize it has little use to a stock cl.. for 1 the VTi is vtec in.. ie: the wire that comes from the stock ecu and goes to the vtec solenoid.. and you'd notice it varys depending on conditions.. its not just an on off at a certain rpm.. .. and you'd also notice it even kicks in at 2900rpm at times.. and the lowest you can set the vafc vtec at is 3100.. so its kinda useless.. someone please correct me if my engine is the only one using vtec this low.. seems a lil strange to me as well

I think it is normal fode for what your engine is doing. Might just be how the weather and stuff is...

Yeah I think people need to understand that before they buy the vafc, that if you have no major mods like fastvtec for instance, and you don't plan on anything like that, then don't get it. If you just want it for the pretty lights and you have the money then that's alright..come buy from me

Do you guys see it helping much more with the supercharger?
