is there any chance for a 2.2cl to take a v6 camaro? my freind keeps saying how hes getting one for christmas and that its so much nicer and faster and better looking than my car. im pretty sure its faster even though ive never driven in a camaro. but a CL defiinitley looks nicer inside and out. if i added I/H/E would i have a chance against an auto v6?

does anyone know 0-60 or 1/4 mile times for these cars?

how much hp gain could i get out of I/H/E and are there any companies which r better than others for it?

i have exhaust and vafc and my buddies v6 camero romps on me but hey has racing chip, cai and exhaust

 

unfortunately us 2.2/2.3 guys dont have much of a chance against that. drop in a H22 and mod that then go race him.

 

I dont have any problems with v-6 camaros- the v8s are the ones I have to worry about. I wouldnt worry about it, it should be pretty close

 

What year Camaro? They generally have 200hp, which is the same as the 3.0CL, but have around 225 torque which is better than our car which means it pulls hard.

They weigh close to the same.

The Camaro's got about a 50+ hp advantage (even more in torque), but weights about 300 lbs more. I think with the 2.2CL 5-speed vs. a 5-speed V6 Camaro, you'd lose.

 

My bud has a 98 Camaro SS. Fast as hell but unless your under 5 feet tall its extremely uncomfortable. CL's interior is way superior. I keep telling him 'just wait til I get supercharger'

 

thats an ss, which has 330 hp. we are talking about the v6. By the way even with a supercharger the ss will still kick your ass

 

My buddy has a v6 mustang with some slight mods. Its pretty comparable to the camero v6. I stay even with him whenever I get him out on the highway and I have the 3.0.

a 2.2 or 2.3 5spd i/h/e could take that depending on the drivers. and an auto slowmaro fuck u could prob take that stock if u got a 5spd and can drive. if not ur friend will be scared when ur I4 keeps up with his bad ass POS slowmaro. then he can think about how his car is a plastic POS inside and is useless in any driving condition other than a straight line. HAHAHAHAA

be sure to take ur system out, the spare, the jack, and fuck might as well take out the passenger seat. and run on 1/4 or less gas. boom thats an easy 100lbs off

 

i've beat a v6 auto mustang in my 2.3 with e/cai/h. If you just race at a stop light to like 50 or 60 you'll have a good chance. you should get him off the line but he'll start to pull after that.

 

im pretty sure the mustangs and camaros are about the same in the v6

 

rustangs are faster in the v6

 

i rented a convertible once.... the car is frigging big but the interior is soooooo frigging small... getting in and out of that POS was no fun at all ...

but yeah... u might have a chance... and u know.. there's only 1 way to find out get ur mods in and race him!

The 99+ Mustangs have a 3.8L V6 with 190 hp, while the Camero and Firebird have a 3.8L V6 with 200 hp. The Camero and Firebird V6s have always beeten V6 Mustangs....I can hang with the Camero V6, but as soon as we get to about 70 he's gone....

 

I've never had trouble with the American V6 ... I always get them at higher RPMs
