You shouldn't have to get the box out of the fenderwell, since the V2 doesn't go down that far

haha kk ...i thought u were suupose to... so that the air... kicked up from the moving tire goes directly in the intake and that would cause a better performance.

If u really think that, I was just trying to save you from ripping your fenderwell out cuz it's a pain in the ass, least mine was. Also if you're doing that, buy new clips from honda before you do, cuz those 8-9 year old clips won't come out gracefully, i broke all mine takin em out.

actually yeah you have to take out the filter box to install the V2. It almost touches the bottom of the wheel well it's alot longer than it looks, just as long as the AEM CAI. I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

i noticed that there is a hole worn into the plastic in front of my wheel..
i have no idea how that happened..
it looks like its been rubbing against the tire as i drive

how about a DIY guide to reinstalling the stock intake components
i'd like this by 7am (before i go to acura), thanks

"In the mileage range of 75,000 to 150,000 miles, Acura dealers will replace certain emission components in your vehicle free of charge. These components include spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap, and rotor. A free oil and oil filter change will also be part of this one-time service, but remember--your vehicle is not eligible until it has reached 75,000 miles. At the time of this service, the OBD system will be inspected again and any necessary repairs performed free of charge. It is recommended that you have this one-time service performed in conjunction with the scheduled maintenance at 90,000 miles (refer to your owner's manual)."

awwwww yeaaaaah

yeah goddamn those honda fender clips...I just ripped em out because I knew they would break when I installed my CAI, I was too lazy to take the bumper off. A bag of them are about 13 bucks.

here's the pics

it's hard to tell but basically I can touch the filter element with the wheel well if it just push on the wheel well a little bit. So basically the bottom of the filter element on the intake is almost as low as the bottom of the bumper. Which means whatever your clearance is from the ground to your bumper that's your clearance to the bottom of the intake. If I remember correctly there might be a bulge in the wheel well where the filter element is located because it's that low.

Every cone filter intake whistles. As for the rattling, you need to secure that shit with some zipties or metal brackets.
