Universal Mufflers

I see a lot of brands Hayame, Mozart, Ractive, and Brosal for universal mufflers. I was just wondering if you could let me know which ones have good reputations, bad reputations, and ok reputations.

you guys have discussed this recently but info is scattered and inconsistent. I would just like it if the people on this site could quickly just type up a list like the following:

Best: Brand A, Brand B, Brand C

Average: Brand D, Brand E, Brand F

Below Average: Brand G, Brand H, Brand I

Given that they really don't do much for HP (5HP at most), it's your choice of looks and sound really. Obviously, that's something you will have to make a decision on yourself. I went with an inexpensive 3A Racing muffler.

It's a low tone, medium loudness. It dies off at 3200+ RPMs, but does resonate when cruising. Take the noise into consideration when you do this. If you want to feel and hear your exhaust all the time, I would recommend the one I have, if not, you may want to find a quieter one.

That's wierd. I would think that it would liven up about 3200 RPM because isn't that when the VTEC switchover occurs. Do you have a 3.0 or 2.2/2.3?

i have a 3a racing muffler , and it sounded great when i first got it. Unfortunately after a year its sounds blown out and raspy. I do not recommend one. I guess you get what you pay for.
