Universal mufflers

I have a 3.0 and I found a universal muffler that looks very close to the stock muffler, which is what I want....close to stock look.

How will your car react to a universal muffler? Aren't factory mufflers tuned to your car's compression and back-pressure, etc? And aftermarket exhausts specifically made for a certain car are tuned for that car. So how can you tell if a universal exhaust will match up and be compatible with your car?

you can fit practically any muffler to any car with some modifications. since you do have a universal muffler it should fit to your ride but dont expect to feel any gains without also changing your catback too. you should go to a muffler shop and have them make you a custom catback and attach it to your universal muffler.

Hmmmm, personally I would only buy a new muffler for the looks and the sound, oh yeah an that whole performance thing. I am going to try and get either the tsudo twin cannister muffler or the 3a racing muffler that dustbuster has. But all in all universal muffler and as good as any muffler out there.

I don't know the brand, I saw them at a custom muffler shop and just caught my eyes. In fact, they look like 3A racing exhaust that KC CL 1785 mentioned. I like the dual-tip ones with straight tips. Has anyone heard how they sound and the performance gain?

Where have you seen these at? I am interested in getting a twin cannister muffler but have only been able to find one.

or do a google.com search for "tsudo muffler". It brought up a few online retailers.
