hELLO EVERYONE, i HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT GETTING SOME UNDERBODY NEONS? do you think that this would be a stupid, bad, or good idea? I also need suggestions on what kind to get, color and brand, oh and if anyone can give me an idea on how much they cost that would be great.

Some one just installed white lights, i thought they looked good, and i had never been a fan of lights before. I think any other color looks horrible

 

I am with him, I think that they look tacky & cheap, leave them for all the "super fast" dodge neons out there! Although, in Import Tuner, there is a car done in white lights that looks good... Just my2 cents...

 

Well, I was thinkin about gettin a blue neon upfront in the grill, but not under the car, but Im not to sure If Ill do that or not

 

Dont get it. Leave it for the civics and integras. Makes the car look cheap. CL already looks good. You dont need cheap lights to make it look better

 

go for it man. i got blue and there tight. i dont know what other people are thinking but they have there own opinion. i think you should...go with street Glow gold series there more expensive but there the best out there.... you should get a color that accents your car color. like mine i have blue, to go with my blue pearl paint..... they look real nice...that my opinion

 

i have neon underneath my car......it looks nice as long as someone does it right.....and they aren't cheap....300-325 dollars including isn't what i consider cheap.....only a hundred less than some types of headers....but thats just MO

 

IMO I am not a big fan of neons. I would not put them on my car. If that is what you like I say go for it. Forget what everyone says. Noone drives your car but you.

 

GO FOR IT MAN!! I was going to do it with mine, because I had them on my eclipse along with police lights, but when I sold it, I never got a chance to purchase them for mine. Go with Street Glow Gold series, and you can find them on EBAY for like 150 and up.

 

Personally, I like them. They don't look ricey at all like some would have you believe. The people that say they're ricey are the people that just say whatever the majority says. They're hot, and chicks love them. Even if it were ricey most chicks don't even know what ricey means.

 

They looked good on the cars in "The Fast and the Furious".

They're just not my style.

If you like them, then get them. It's all about modding the car the way you want.

Most people think my gold trim is obnoxious! Fuck 'em! :P

Hey look at me, i have a neon light under my car, wow!!!!
Everytime I see them they make me laugh. Very childish, and a complete waste of money, why not opt for black out headlights too??? There are better ways of spending your money, like buying some groceries or paying for your car insurance or maybe putting it into what ricers only hope to have one day...A Bank Account.

 

you have a topspeed ram intake can you hook it up with a link to info about that. cause i was thinking about a AEM cai with by pass valve, but i would perfer a ram air intake cause i figure its better. What's you opinion or anyone's?

I personally don't like underbody neons but to each his own. I'll admit that I have seen some cars that look very good with neons.
But, I'm more for the clean look of our cars and I think neons look a little too "ricey" (ie Honda Civic or Ford Focus). Plus, neons weigh in excess of 40 pounds (depending on brand) which is an easy way to slow down your car. (I saw a friend in a four-banger Ranger shed several tenths by just taking out his spare and jack!).

Just my 2 cents.

 

I guess you and I don't go after the same sort of women. Most girls I date don't like neons. They see them as a way hopeless guys try to pick up skanks.

 

Im not trying to be a dick but you do have xenon headlights (im assuming blue bulbs) and interior neons so....

 

Not my style, however that may be because I'm 39 years old and have to watch out so that people don't accuse me of suffering a midlife crisis. I enjoy seeing mods on cars as I find it interesting.
When I was young, I'm sure that some thought the fat wheels protruding from the fenders of my 70 Mustang looked cheap and stupid, but I had a good time and don't regret that.

Actually, my headlights are mostly white with a slightly blueish tint - you know for that HID look. As for the inside neons - I have to update my sig - I took those out a while ago and sold em.

And I didn't mean to call him a hopeless guy - I say do whatever you want to your car - IT's YOUR CAR. It's just a lot of girls that I've been out with aren't impressed with neons and stuff like that.

 

wow, so this has become a discussion about whether neons are a good way to pick up girls. I thank everyone for posting their opinions, but I would appreciate oppinions on whether you would get them or not, don't tell others that their neons are "gay" or "ricey".
