For U H22 Guys

According to the TSX guys a Prelude and TSX is dead even. Has anyone with a 3.0 ran a TSX?

i ran a 2000 prelude he had an intake, headers, exhaust, and a vfac and i still pulled on him he was a manual. i think it's just our high tourque that kills the preludes and tsx's

I'm sorry, i dont know what you guys are talking about, but my old fourth gen prelude was alot quicker than my 3.0 (See signature ... I miss her )

That thread is comparing the Type S H22a, the usdm fourth gen prelude or H22a1 had 190 hp, the fifth gen (h22a4) was 200 hp. The common jdm h22a swap is 200 hp, thats what was in my old prelude. sounds like a drivers race, but the prelude in my opinion is definately quicker.

A TSX has 205 not 240..It would be interesting to see a race between a Lude, TSX and 3.0 since technically all 3 have 200 horses

whats the car and driver 1/4 miles on the tsx and the 3.0 tl. The prelude is 15.1-15.2 depending on year (1993-2001) I cannot imagine the 3.0 being any quicker that 15.5-.6 stock.

If the TSX wasn't so heavy it would put down some impressive numbers like the engine does in a civic.

Prelude beats both,

3.0 cl is about dead even race (1/4 mile) with a stick TSX. In my experiance win is based on the driver of the TSX. Their reported times in car mags are not fast both 15.7-16.1 .

Newer TSX model will have a little more power though in 2008.

Luxury and handling. The interior on the TSX is just like the TL with bluetooth and all the other toys and the car handles great and isnt that bad looking either. I wouldnt pay 25K for it though but it does sell.

so you can turn it into a real Euro accord R. With a comptec S/c on it or some kind of turbo kit. I think that are awesome cars. I had a test drive in the 6 speed TSX. it was quick but it need to be faster.

The only reason I would buy the TSX...

My wife loves it and wants one very bad.
She'll just have to wait a little while longer.

2.3 CL times

I understand its the 3.0 CL most are referring to, but I figured I may as well throw in a 2.x in for those of us who run with 4-bangers.

Just found this link for someone who had a 1st run on a strip, clocking in with their alleged times (but was not able to replicate on latter runs):

1/4 Mile ET: 15.620
1/4 Mile MPH: 92.489
1/8 Mile ET: 10.008
1/8 Mile MPH: 74.103
0-60 Foot ET: 2.311
Timeslip Scan:
Temperature F: 58.0
Car Make: Acura
Car Model: 2.3CL
Car Type: No trim. Fully loaded
Car Year: 1999
Driver: Jason Fischgrabe

i drive my ex's tsx all the time and ive raced against her from red lights many times and she cant ever keep up at first, not enough torque, i always burn out and jump ahead but then she passes me in a few seconds, me in a 2.3 auto her in an 05 TSX auto. tsx = teh slow start, like rsx non type-s. anyone heard of any tsx's with type-s k20 head? is that possible?
