Type S cams Part2 (gains to see)
Finally took my lazy ass to the shop I've known of to get my cams machined. They said they'll be ready by this friday. Well, I also have an aftermarket fuel pump, and was planning on going with bigger fuel injectors and bigger spark plug wires (13mm I believe, as oppossed to 8mm. ). Also I was planning on buying the HKS TI (or T1, I forget) carbon muffler (or just go with a quieter HKS muffler), installing the custom straight pipe (have for fun, but never used), and upgrade my piping with madrel bent piping (the piping I have now is bent due to an accident so it's gotta be replaced regardless). Now this is where my concern is:
I have been asked by numerous members on this board to have a dyno of the gains for this mod. Well, to me, it seems like the gains might be a little off from the actual gains due to the lil extra work I'll be putting into the car. Not to mention, it's going to have 100 octane in it (having the car retuned to run with the n2o).
Now the question is, what should I do?
A. Go ahead and install the cams with the injectors and get it retuned without n2o to see more accurate gains (but the problem now would be that my exhaust piping is bent so it could result in a loss of power at higher rpm's from my last dyno). Then just install the rest the next day and have it retuned a 3rd time.
B. Install the cams only, and have my piping replaced with the mandrel bent piping and new muffler. Then just install rest the next day and have it retuned a 3rd time.
C. Install cams only and leave piping as is. Don't mess with the fuel system yet and just get it retuned for what might be the most accurate reading. (again, keep in mind my exhaust piping is bent so it may not show the most gains possible at higher rpms). Then just install rest the next day and have it retuned a 3rd time.
D. Screw it all, dump everything in and just have her retuned the way I want her.
Keep it mind, choices A - C would NOT consist of 100 octane.
I rather do it all at once to save time and money, but if Everyone really wants to know what the cams put out "tuned" then I guess I can take one for the team! Just take into consideration the mods I already have, and what factors may apply to +/- gains since my last dyno.
So what are the answers from the fellow 3.0 owners that you would prefer to see from choices A-D?

Oh yea, and my tranny comes with a 2 year unlimited amount of miles warranty, she'll be ready no later than thursday they said. (the things that would void my warranty would be if my radiator went bad, street racing, or having my car slammed to the ground). But I can have all the mods I want on my car

D, adn then dyno it, let us know how the dyno goes with all the mods you've got, adn we'll see how it runs. If you did all that tuning and retuning, it would be WAY too expensive. Unless you're taking donations I'd just do D.

It's really the time consumtion that I don't like if I were to do any of A-C. But sweet, I'll just post dyno's of the car with option D then. You'll have them by next week. CLPower, I'm going to have to email them to you again so that you can post them, hehe, pm me your email address. I guess we'll all have to agree on how much of role the cams play in the new dyno sheet.

word. We're all interesting in seeing what the cams can do, but we're more interested in the overall potential of a CL, and not so much what each thing does. do be sure to post a dyno of before all that stuff, so we have an idea of the jump from I/H/E to cams and stuff.
