two questions....

First off, my ABS light was on during my drive to work this morning, and it hasn't come on since then. Any ideas??

Secondly, I'm in the market for new wheels. I'd like 18's that are light (I can't afford to lose speed) and strong enough to handle Chicago's lovely roads without being damaged. Am I asking too much? I'd appreciate any recommendations.

my light came on when I was a little low on the brake fluid. sometimes it is tough to read where the fluid is. try adding a little dot3 or higher. otherwise you may be due for pads. my light hasn't come on since I topped off the fluid

For rims, you would need forged 3 piece rims, since those are the strongest (potholes) and lighest (speed) types of rims. Plus 3 piece rims are easier to repair, but they are the most $$$$$

I had the same problem with my ABS system - the light would come on and off. Turns out that it was in fact low. That took care of the problem for about 3 months - but now the thing makes a loud whirring noise at start up (just like it did when it was too low) and then shuts off and trips the ABS light. I think my ABS is done for. BTW: it still has fluid in it and i never see any drip marks on the ground that indicate an ABS fluid leak. I hear that the ABS pump thing is about 1000.00 new - junk yard here i come! Anybody else replaced the ABS module thingy??

Light 18's are hard to find and cost way too much. If you don't wanna loose speed I'd get 17's...........I regret getting 18's, they weigh you down and they kinda jack your car up a little.
