Turn signal/running lamp mod

Had a bit of a brainstorm.

I have clear corners with clear bulbs on my 97. I just installed APC xenon bla bla bla 80W low beams, and they're friggin white as hell, so now my runners/blinkers look like piss.

ALSO, I like the idea of foglamps, but in Acura's infinite wisdom, they didn't give them to us first genners, and it is MY OPINION that any aftermarket lamp will look like ricerboy crap. Sooooo, my idea is this:

I want to swap the wiring from the current turn sig up front to the little guy right next to it.....that way the one that blinks now will be on whenever my headlights are on, and the little one on the corner will be the new and improved blinker. I should point out that I really don't give a shit if it's illegal.

Now, I want the brightest friggin light I can put in place of the 3497 or whatever it is.....are there LED bulbs that are foglamp bright and will fit here?

What about an actual foglamp (like 880 or something) conversion? Will the clear corners (plastic) withstand the heat from an 880 (halogen or xenon foglamp bulb)? Obviously if I snagged sockets for an 880 setup from a boneyard, I'd run them thru a relay w/some decent wiring, not the original running lamp wiring. The heat is my main concern with this idea.

Also, can I get LED replacements for the 168's that will be really friggin bright?

They did make factory foglamps for our car, but I think they were an option. A few people on here have them.
And you can get LED replacements for the 168s (pretty sure), but I doubt they would be foglamp bright.

Acura does have OEM Fog lights.

All 1997-1999 Cls are prewired for foglights. You can purchase them from the dealer, or from here: http://www.ahmotor.com/product/ahmcat3.htm#4H

Instructions to mount the foglights are here: http://public.fotki.com/dustbuster4/installingwiring/

I didn't have great luck with those 168 LED's. I think they only lasted a couple weeks.
