turbo question

first off im new here so if this is the wrong place to put this i apologize also if this has already been talked about i apologize but i spent some time going through some threads and didnt find anything so here i go. as im sure a bunch of u kno the 98-02 accord has the same engine as us. i have already bought a throttle body and headers for an accord and they work just fine in my CL. i was able to find a turbo kit for the 98-02 accord and was wondering if anyone knew if it would work for our CL's i have 97 3.0L vtech version CL. if anyone has any info about this i would appreciate it. thanks in advance. my engine code is J30A if that helps.

Yup, it should fit it's the same motor, you may have clearance issues with exahust piping or intercooler piping, but that's part of every turbo install. Which kit are you looking at, and if you don't mind me asking what Throttle Body did you get?

Sick looking car in your avatar. Is it yours? Not 100% sure on it, but is it a Bel Air, or the Malibu?

yes the car in my avatar is also mine its a 1964 chevelle malibu SS. i just rebuilt the engine in it it was originally a 350 but i rebored it out to a 388 it now has 602 base HP and about 588 lb/ft of torque i can pretty much pass anything but a gas station =P. anyways the throttle body that i bought was a powerdyne one built for the 98-01 accord 3.0L vtech, works like a dream. and the turbo im looking at getting is Turbonetics Turbo Kits - Custom T3/T4 Hybrid it says its made for a 2.3L accord so im not sure if thats gonna cause a problem with my 3.0 if anyone has any info on it let me kno

The 2.3 accord is awefully different from the 3.0. Not to mention if it comes with a manifold it'll be useless to you and you'll have to do a custom 3.0 manifold for the turbo anyway. Got a link for the powerdyne TB?
