Turbo help

I went to a shop to have them check out my turbo, and when we tried to match up the manifold + turbo to the block, it looked as if having a down pipe wouldnt fit near the ac and the alternator. They said that they can do it, but most likely have the ac removed. The other option they had said is to flip the turbo around and have the down pipe pass along side the motor mount and trans, and they would have to bend some crazy piping. For that, they said it will be very time consuming and expensive. I dont know what I am going to do about it, although I shall have my friend take a look at it, and see what he can do. So, I was wondering what the h22+turbo peeps have done.

Help is greatly appreciated.

i had a friend flip it on an eclipse cause it was bigger than normal and ran the down pipe in a sharp curve....looked pretty cool under the hood, but your gonna need to bend it a lot .....same w/ you intake piping, intercooler piping etc...looked like a web

well unless you can live without the AC? you'll prolly have to have them do the custom bend...

That's pretty steep for piping...I would have them take the compressor out -- speed>>>a/c..

Hmm, dunno what to tell you then. If it was me, I'd rather have 1,000 in my pocket with no A/C...it drains your HP output anyways...

Ya keep tha a/c, cant live without a/c.... when its 100 degrees with high humidity, you'll be crying... I dont know about that piping, but the price is bullshit, my advice is look around and do some research..

Custom piping is expensive, but that's definately high. I had to get rid of my AC but it doesnt get over 90 here too often. If it were any hotter, I would keep it. I guess d98clturbo got rid of his AC, or have you talked to him?

Custom piping is expensive, but not THAT expensive. I just stopped by a muffler shop the other day and they said that the HIGH end of a quote for a custom exhaust pipin g on the CL would be $415, and that's not even close to a grand, I def suggest asking around first.

i was thinking about having a custom adapter flange- so to speak- made to fit the turbo. for now, im going to bolt the turbo and manifold up, and see what needs to be done.
