Is TSX slow ???
My friend bought a 2005 TSX 6 speed last week and we just ran 3 times (0-90mph) , we switched drivers once and my 3.0 cl beat him every time. Does that make any sense considering his is a stick and Iam an auto ?? My only performance mod is an AEM CAI intake. Shouldn't the TSX be faster?

3.0 = around 40 more pounds of torque. Winnar
underpowered and overpriced. we get them at my job and they never sell. i think most ppl would rather have a 7th gen V6 accord for the same price then a small JDM accord. they look nice though and the interiors are nicely designed. and i cant get enough of those HID's. but i would much rather have an accord.

TSX is a nice car, very nice interior, classy/sporty looking with the OEM kit. Yes they are not very quick, I've driven both the manual (which is an awesome gearbox) and the auto, and the manual wins hands down in terms of better power making.
In terms of it's VTEC changeover point it's at around 5.5-6k RPM's, you can tell because the car starts to pull a little harder, but when it shifts, falls way out of VTEC range unlike the J32's.
I really think they are a great car, and I would get one as a daily driver and have a weekend car too.
Their handling is pretty decent too.

Being a first gen acura CL forum, we really shouldn't be making posts calling TSX's slow. A stock TSX has 200hp which isn't too bad compared to what our cars come with stock. My 2.2 gets beat badly by my friend's TSX, and I think that an unmodded 3.0 would lose to the 6-speed TSX. The 6-speed in the TSX shifts like butter, especially when compared to an auto CL tranny.

To answer the original question:
Does anyone ever visit the TSX forum and see the posts some of their members make? They have members claiming to beat Accord V6s (7 gen) and even G35s. That's a particular person on the board, but I can't tell you how many of them have told me that they think their TSX 6-speed can take my 2005 Accord V6 coupe. Reading lots of posts on that forum it becomes clear that lots of them make the TSX out to be way more than it is, especially when it comes to power. Stock for stock, the TSX will get raped by an Accord V6. I've driven a TSX loaner for a month and it was a 5AT and to be honest, it wasn't too much quicker than my friend's 98 Camry four-cylinder - we tested them.

Iam not haten' on the TSX, I just thought it would be faster because its the same hp as my 3.0 cl , newer technology and a stick. From a 30- 40 mph roll his TSX can stay a couple car lengths ahead so it does have some advantage when it comes to passing.
