Trim

Anybody know if the wood trim comes off on the 98 CL? Or how you can put the carbon fiber vinyl over it? Please help me out. Thanks a lot.

there are a few guys with custom wraps/painted wood trims

it comes off its just that there are many screws and most of em are hidden so u end up breaking the trim

Hey Got Rice, why is wood gay? Whose to say that carbon fiber
isn't gay? A person's trim and interior of their car should look
how they want it to look, and I don't believe that the wood, which happens to be nicely done, looks gay? My 2 cents.

it would help if you didnt bring back threads that were FOUR years old. There are other members who have wrapped their wood trim, and have documented it in posts.

At least you are searching, which is a good thing. Just search a little deeper.

whatever you need to find is in the archives.

wraping the carbon wood trim in carbon fiber is the only way to get the gen 1 CL in carbon fiber, they dont have real CF packages or i would have gotten one. I did my trim in CF it looks ok but u can get different CF prints that look better.

do u know anybody that have gotten them ? I think there just thick stickers of carbon fiber that stick on top of ur wood grain. but tell me if im wrong cause i looked what i thought was everywhere for it. but if u have to take out the wood stuff and replace it with an ACTUAL CARBON FIBER MOLDED PIECE, then im down with that.

" All products must be in perfect condition, in the original package, and
3M adhesive tape has not been removed. Custom made products are not
refundable."
This is in there refund policy so im guessing it just a 3M sticker that goes on top.

sry for so many posts but i also found this, "Is it a replacement for the dashboard or a stick on?

* The dash kits are thin flat pieces (NOT MOLDED). They are about 1/12th. of an inch thick with a special formula clear coating and 3M adhesive tape backing. The pieces only cover certain places on the interior (i.e. power window switch plates, radio surround, shifter area, etc.). This is not a replacement for the entire plastic dashboard in your car. All of our kits are custom cut to fit properly thanks to our extra efforts such as tapering the edges , utilizing 3m industrial backing and custom finishing with ultra clear polyurethane. All kits are constructed on site with top grade materials and superior craftmanship.

so to answer ur question no there not real replacements.
