Transmission Question!!!!!!!!!!!!
Transmission Question!!!!!!!!!!!!
can a prelude tranny work with the f22 motor, the reason for this question is that folks say that the f22 tranny can only handle so much power until it goes BOOM!!!! so why not swap that badboy out?
The wouldn't be very smart considering that prelude trannies aren't that strong. I went to a prelude site and in their forum they had a whole section for transmission problems because there were so many of them.

So what do I when I achieve power that my tranny can't handle?
Get a rebuild?
The 5gen 97-01 preludes with the auto sport shift are the trannys that break all the time. All H-series manual trannys are bulletproof. The old AEM hatch was making over 600hp on a stock H22 tranny. Not a stock clutch or flywheel, but the tranny was stock.
Acura516: where in LI are you from, I live in Queens but work on LI. I didn't know that there was any other CLer's in my area. I seen a black one on the Northern state once but never seen again... Where you from????
