I got my tranny replaced for free by my Acura dealer at 69K. They said it would have costed my around 4Gs if I had to pay for it. My car stayed there for a month because the trannies were on backorder. I really didn't care b/c I got a free tranny !

are there certain CL's with extended warranty on the tranny? or do all the CL's have the warranty? when I first got my CL i went to the dealership and they only told me about the Ignition swith recall and the EGR valve.... are they hiding something?

Sorry to hear about the tranny.

I'm sure I'll blow up mine before the summer is over.

While doing a search for a tranny to build for racing, I came across a place with good prices on remanufactured trannys. Here's an e-mail response I got from them:

Welcome to the "my 3.0 tranny is a POS" club. What pisses me off more than anything is how Acura refuses to admit that there is anything wrong with them. There's about 15 of us on here alone who had them go well before 100K miles.

To answer the 100K mile warranty thing, I think ACURASTATUS got his certified pre-owned, or got an aftermarket warranty extension.
