Trading my 97 CL
I'm sooo confused on what I want to do. I was thinking about trading my 97 2.2 CL to my parents for there 01 Impreza 2.5 RS because I know I would have so much more fun with that car and I could do sooo much more to it, but I would feel bad because it is a brand new car. What do you guys think?

IMPREZA or CL... IMPREZA or CL... IMPREZA or CL... I say CL... if it were WRX or CL... you lose the luxury but you gain over 30hp and hella performance... Then Id say screw the CL go WRX!!!!

They sold a lot more CL's than 2.5RS Imprezas... a few hundred in '98, 3000 in '99, 10k in 2000, and about the same in 2001.
I had a 2000 2.5RS and it was tons of fun. I autocrossed it, took it in the snow whenever I could, etc. Never did any of that with my CL.

hey man lemme tell u 1 thing before u trade....last week i raced a 2,5 rs on a real windy road with my 98 2.3 cla nd lets just say his car is now in a dumpster cause he fliped it 3 times. it was lowered and had a full suspension w/AWD. now the choice is urs but think long and hard about hwat u are doing.

Sorry to say this but you asked. There is just no comparison between the Impreza and the CL. The CL is a better car all the way. It's about the total package, not just the mods that you can do to it. There is really not that much of a need to mod the CL and it's great as is. If you want a car to mod, get a civic.

Ok, it's either an Impreza or 2.2 CL. There are no other options. Remember I have a 2.2 not a 6-cylinder 3.0. And all I really care about are the mods. I dont really care if the car is classy looking or not, I'm 19 and am not looking for a "classy" car. I actually think I'm going to get the impreza, but we'll see. I'm going home to ST.louis for 10 days and I'm going to think it over.

WRX is INSANE!!!! but its just a subaru... something about that scares me... but they do do RALLY RACING!!!!!... hmmmm.... god if you were debating the WRX or CL... i couldnt help you.. but yet again.. i must state my opinion...

the subaru isnt as pretty aor luxurious.. but it performs better stock than a fully MODED CL.... 235HP i think out the showroom and a sport suspension ready to rip... hard to say... it depends on what you want, need and desire!!!!
