Hey guys... I've alluded to this before but I've lost all interest in my car. It was never going to be what I wanted it to be. Plus, being lowered it was no longer a practical DD. I couldn't get something new without getting rid of the CL. I saw an opportunity to get something better, so I did. I traded my CL in on a 2003 Chevy Blazer. I've wanted an SUV for awhile and the Blazer is mint. It was really well taken care of, 4x4 and transmission shifts great. My car was getting up there in miles and the transmission was ready to go at any point. Slipping in 1-2, and a big "clunk" going in to 4th. Plus at 110,000 it needed a timing belt which I wasn't willing to spend the money on.

The Blazer is what it is. Not expecting to get too much love about it, but in the end I did what's best for me and I love driving my truck. Parts are really easy to find and it's much easier to work on.

Of course I'll still be around. There's still an '04 TL in the family so I have no reason to leave you guys. :gheyhug:

The dealer is trying to sell my car for just under $3000. I suspect it'll go to auction and they'll barely get what I got on the trade. I have some parts and accessories to sell, I'll open up a BM thread for that.

I seemed to have lost all motivation for my car too... I'm hoping this is just a tough patch that I'll be over after this weekend's comp.

OP, sad to see it gone, but looking forward to a fs thread. Might be able to pick up a couple parts.

 

Dang how many is that so far this year like 5 ppl gone? Yea i've been loosing interest also so im fixing mine back up to love her again.

 

for the people that lose interest theres more out there that will take their places. i cant tell you how many people i come across on the forums or in real life that always say ive always wanted a CL or im gonna build a CL one day.

 

I'm hoping this weekend (car audio comp) will bring back my motivation... If not, well, I dunno, the CL may get a new duty in the family of cars lineup...
