The 3.0 can definitely hit 140. I did it on a long stretch of I-87 in upstate NY with 4 people in the car. It might take a while to get there (at least from 120 to 140), but it can get there.

Unless of course your car is set up like Rick's.

140 mph 4th gear, H22 swapped. vtec 5800 redline 9600! Need to upgrade my springs and retainers though along with some cams.
