THE LAST TIME i HAD A LONER, I THOUGHT THE SAME THING.

THOSE NEW KEY PADS ARE MUCH NICER THAN THE OLD STYLE......SOMEONE NEEDS TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO MAKE THEM WORK.....

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN PURCHASE ONE WITHOUT BEING BENT OVER????

MAYBE THE OLD ICB WILL FIT RIGHT INSIDE THE NEW HOLDER?!

CL-Z, DON'T waste your money! It won't work. My 2002 CL has thos keyes and I thought I would try it on my 98 CL and 99 TL. They simply won't work. Reason why: The new keys are for the new Acuras with memory seats. My TL and first gen CL do not have mem. seats.

Yeah the keypad ICB are definitely different, but the casings appear to be the same shape..........I'm betting that if I open them both up, I can switch out the ICB and put them back together.

i say you should go for it, CL-Z; it'd be tight to have something like that work on our cars. . tell us if it works out

I can get them to work... trust me... I took a Honda remote and re-built the circuit board to make it work with my design tech alarm. So it looks like I have a factory installed keyless entry/alarm but its really a design tech.

That's cool!

I am definitely going to try it, and if it works I'll post a how-to.

But here's the thing........can anyone tell me where I can order the new key fob without paying retail???

Ebay is my guess... the older remotes are always on there, and I have seen the new style on there a couple times...

All you need to do is copy the circuit board size from the new remote, then copy the circuit from the remote that already works and move the components.
