Tires

I have put 11,000 miles on my Yokohama Avid V4s and noticed the other day that about half the tread is already gone on the front tires, the rears are much better. The car tracks straight, the steering is in perfect alignment, and the wear pattern is perfect across the face of the tire.

I can only beleive that these tires just wear very qucikly.

What tires are you guys running and which one last the longest? I have heard the original tires - Michelin MXV4s are the best and last the longest.

Can anyone help me out?

thanks.

My Yoko Paradas have been on the car since June, so about 2000 miles? And they look brand new. I mean, really. They even still have the yellow marker stuff on them.

My stock Michelin's lasted almost 30K miles, and they were okay. I am MUCH happier with their replacements--Pirelli P6000 Sport Veloce. After almost 10K miles they show little tread wear, ride great, and hold the road much better in all conditions.

I don't know which tires are the best, but I know that my tires suck in the endurance department. Whatever you do, don't get Bridgestone potenza re910s. They grip really well even in the rain, but the don't last very long

if your looking for a high performance sticky tire, don't bother asking what kinda endurance it'll have.. they don't go together if you want a tire thats not going to wear and you'll get 50k miles on it or whatever, get standard tires if you want to replace tires every few months.. get some drag radials and .. spare tires in the back?

I'm looking for tires that'll eliminate the fuzzy steering I had with the original michelins. hell my arctic alpins track way better.
