For the guys who have tinted their windows:
There are dots around the edge of our back window especially on top. When you guys got your windows tinted was there little bubbles around the dots????

Yeah, mine does... I hate that.. but can't do anything w/ it since there is an antena and stuff..

 

i got the tint shop to put vinyl over it. ill get a pic and put it up tonight.

 

I wouldn't know because I CAN'T TINT MY FREAKIN WINDOWS IN MY STATE!!!!

 

It seemed like I had alot of dots right after I tinted my windows but there is definitely less dots now. I don't know, maybe they leave over time or something.

yeah i got the dots. didnt know about the vinyl thing til AFTER....damn it.

 

What's the vinyl thing? Is it a layer of clear vinyl that goes over the window to make a smoother surface to tint on?

 

the first time I did them it was pretty good. Then someone broke my rear glass. The last time was pretty sketch. Didn't come out great, very noticable. I've never seen a CL w/ a good job done on it though.

no a piece of black vinyl over the dots so you don't see them.

 

Now, i cant remember the vinyl is on the inside of the window right?

i think ive seen it both ways though.

 

yea, looks better on the inside.

 

u juss have to go to a place where they do a good tinting job. if u dont, then u get bubbles on ur window.

woah.. i have always wanted to see what 50% actually looked like.... cuz thats legal in minnesota but nobody follows those laws.. i dont want get hassled and it looks BALLER.. im sold

 

looks darker than 50% to me, or did you have the windshield tinted as well? BTW, your car looks clean man What kind of exhaust do you have, looks VERY nice!

xxx that does look darker than 50%.. i think im a redo mine n get 5% all around.. i got that kind thats supposed 2 block more uv's than regular black.. i want it 2 look like "80's limo tint" like its painted on .. just dont want them so cal cops to rape me for it.. seems more n more pplz have it lately though..

 

Yeah I was thinking of getting 35% but thought that would be too dark. But I wanted to try 50% because my car already attracts alot of attention. The cops love to pull me over, i've been pulled over before because my car fits the description of another CL that's known for dealin :blaze:. So thats why I didn't go darker I wanted it to look suttle. The muffler is magnaflow with 2.5" stainless piping.

 

Ya i'd love to get 5% all around but I would only do it on a dark car like Midnight blue or black.

i had 20% done to my car, and the part your talking about, I didn't have bubbles.

My tint job was done really well, no flaws of anykind. The only thing is that the tint looked like it was coming off of those spotted places, but it looked normal to me. I just figure its inevitable unless you do use Vinyl.

My friend used Vinyl on his integra, and it looks good.

 

hell yea vynal is the way to go. i took my car back to the tint shop with some vynal and they put it on for free....

 

theres 2 models of magnaflows that look like that which one do u have?? 14815 or 14816

 

I got 14816 cause it has bigger tips. If your thinking of getting one you should consider getting custom stainless steel piping 2.5" in diameter. This will make you exaust sound deep!
