Time to say goodbye, got new car.

Hi all,

I don't really post too often here, but I've gotten alot of useful information here, so just wanted to express my appreciation for this forum. I got a replacement for my CL today. Its a used E92 328i coupe, but only has 26k miles on it. Pretty good for a 2007 I think. Its the base model, but I got lucky as the previous owner bought some staggered 19 inch M rims for it so it looks great. Will be my new everyday car. I had my CL since 2002. Kinda funny, when I went in to trade my CL, I found out that it had been a accident before I bought it. Never knew, kinda glad I never had any issues with the car, cause its been flawless in terms of being reliable. Anyways, heres a couple of pics of the new car.

And one of the interior.

I will always love the CL for being the car that got me threw college and my first couple of years of working.

Thanks for the comments! A couple of more pictures from today, I'm so excited about the car.

@Dave, I'm not sure what rims they were, I just thought BMW's line of wheels were called M-Sport or something like that. They look pretty nice nonetheless, the tires on the rears are 265/35/19. Pretty amazing how quiet and comfortable the ride is with such wide and low profile tires. For comparison, my M45 has 235/45/18's and I would say the BMW rides 75% as soft as that car. I noticed you had an M3 e92, thats really really nice!

This is from a few years ago, summer of 06 if I remember. I have nothing newer.

Its a Primrose Mist 3.0CL with the Bose stereo, I think it was the top of the line at the time. I bought it with only 54k miles on it, last I checked it was 145k.

As for mods, I added an HID kit years ago, and I added iPod integration to the the factory stereo (I had iPod integration way before the newer Acuras started coming out with them). Nothing else, never lowered it or anything crazy.

Since I'm posting old pics of my cars, heres a couple of my first car. A 1990 Honda Accord DX. It was the only car that was a hand me down from my parents. As you can see, I owned that car when I was alot younger. I lowered it, put rims on, and put in some clear corners.

Still looks good to me, wish Honda made cars like these again.

nice upgrade for sure...enjoy that turbo sensation

I'm still an e46>e92 guy myself, but can't argue against the 335's capabilities, especially after some simple ecu tuning

Its a 328, not a 335 so no turbos lol. I still think the e36 M3 was the most road connected, true drivers car out of the BMW's I've encountered.

lol oops my bad just noticed that...yes indeed

and I'm with ya...nothing could ever beat the e36....EVAR. Best bimmer ever made. I'm just kind of disappointed with the styling of the e92's vs the e46's...but then again I'm disappointed with new car designs in general

Yeah sorry, its not a 335i. The HPFP issues scared me off. Plus being my everyday driver, whats the point in another 100+ hp if I'm sitting in traffic or going to Safeway? I'd prefer to save the 5k difference in price, and invest it.

Sounds like some smart buying. And wow, the wheels really make the car a class higher.

Congrats! Great looking car!

I don't know much about the different packages available from BMW but those wheels look almost identical to MRR GT1s.
