Well, I know I said a thousand times I'd never part with the CL, but I guess hell just froze over. I hated having an auto, and the original plan was to just sell and get a manual YA1/3, but I guess the upgrade bug kicked in. I've actually got tired of Honda's in general to be honest, with St. Louis basically being the rice capital of the US (Google trends search for "underglow", "neons", and "body kits" at one time all lead to a single #1 US city; St. Louis. Yah it's kinda rough here) and honestly my hate of front wheel drive. I am 99% moving on to a WRX, more than likely a wagon (to still be unique ), as I both love the power and the AWD for the stupid STL weather haha. Not a fan of the ole' boxer engine, but it's already growing on me. I know I don't post on here much, but I've met some pretty killer people on here and had a few laughs, so I guess I wanted to put in my official resignation haha. Thanks for all the help and if anything is needed, feel free to message me (I'm a bit of a parts buff, haha, so if you need an opinon I'll be glad to be biased for you ). I'm sure I'll be checking in every now and then and adding things to this little goodbye thread haha...maybe future plans and forsure a link to my mini-part-out thread =)

Hahaha, thanks guysss...parts I plan on selling for now are my 5zigens with Nitto Neogens, HKS dragger axle-back exhaust (I'm gonna take an exhaust video before I sell it), and yes the Veilsides...I'm looking at the 5x100 WRX's, talk about fail hahaha. All the other parts I plan on utilyzing, as they're at least somewhat universal =P If anyone has a stock F23A1 valve cover they'd like to trade for my fresh prince on OR me do a custom one for a little cash (I have a freshly shaved one in my garage ), let me know. And those Legacy GT's are sexxxxy duluoz haha.

I hate the bug eye look, new style FTW! Have fun working on those motors. I help a buddy once and a while with his WRX and motor work is a biatch with the huge intercooler blocking the entire motor. Damn car is fast too, 300HP shit loads of fun to drive.

Going bugeye, white silver or blue I actually like the middle style most, they're just a little above my price range...bugeye's are still sexy imo though.

And yah, the motor's definately gonna take some getting use to hahaha, I'm kind of the "Honda Code Guy" around here, guess that's going right down the toilet =P

 

go for the 04-05....the bugeyed ones are fugly.

Hahahahaha...basically what it comes down to is that I could have a bone stock 04, MAYBE...or I could get an 02 with decent miles and have enough money for a basic suspension set up and some Work XD-9's, CR KAI's, or something of the sort =) To me, that looks much better than a stock 04. I know I know, think long-term, but the headlights don't bother me all that much. Here's some random pictures, keep in mind I'm not absolutely set on the wagons, it's just more than likely:

Hahaha true for all of the previous posts. The plan is a wagon, they're just too functional to turn down, plus I'd love to see the look on someone's face when they find out it runs 14.5-14.9's ish stock , and the handling on WRX's in general is just amazing. I'm looking non-stop, seems like autotrader and cars.com are stuck on the same 2-3 bad ones, the main one I wanted just sold. Gotta sell the ole' CL first haha, even though I have several friends "interested" that doesn't mean it's an easy sell.

 

you wont pass smog and you will have every cop on your ass because the HKS exhausts are Loud!

The wagons are dope, I've always been a big fan of them. I also like the 5th gen Accord wagons, with the 5 speed option of course. Maybe you should look into one of those?

h-tranny:quick,short gear ratios, lower top speed
f-tranny:longer gears,higher top speed, more boost friendly.

 

or if you're going all motor but want to use less gas on highways go for a custom h tranny with 5th gear from f.

 

yeah ive actually been looking at other options. i turn 30 this year and i wanted to be able to get a car thats more my age i suppose (or according to all my girlfriend atleast..ahhaahah)...after my car is done then im gonna garage it and possibly get some sort of hybrid family car...or a minivan. i dont wanna sell my cl cause its my baby but i just need something else to drive so im not getting constantly revved on or pulled over..hahha...
