What is the deal with these things?Throttle Rotors

 

They cause the throttle to open more quickly. I talked to a guy that has it, and he said it is pretty good for the 40 bucks installed. And that you have to learn to not push the gas down as far when you are just cruising around because it will take off.

 

hmmm. . .sounds good. do you know where we could get one for our car?

 

It's definitely a helpful product...My friend installed it on his Integra...and he said it made the car a lot more responsive..

 

I am not sure where to get them online, a local shop had them here.

 

Can't you just push your foot down on the gas a little more and achieve the same effect?

A quicker throttle is a nasty trick used by GM and Chrysler to make slow cars feel very responsive. A little bit of throttle makes them jump off the line... but when you floor it, there's no difference. Benzes are the opposite - when you give it a little bit of gas, it hardly moves, but floor it & away you go. It's all in your technique.

Just polish your engine bay...

It does seem sort of a waste because it is just gearing the trottle cam differently. No real performance, unless you have a slow foot-muscle or something.
