So when I parked my 97 cl 2.2 I was low on fuel , when it didn’t start I figured it must be out of gas. So I put $20 in the tank and it just cranks no start. Is the fuel and ignition spark both controlled by same relay?

 

Can you hear the fuel pump priming when you put the key in the on position? If it's not the relay, at least the fuel pump is just under the back seat
