Talking thinking of getting a 3.0cl

its a 99 black with black leather with 145k they want $7000 for it. its the one with gold badges. i know the transmissions have issues in these cars but this one seemed to work fine no slipping shifted firm (but not to firm)and quick real nice shape doesn't look like its been touched. any way what do you guys think?

bought the carfax and its a 1 owner rig with no issues. and i know i can get it for 6500. ive looked at these cars on autotrader and they never seem to go for to far below 6500 for 97s and 98s with in 300miles of my zip. i like the car i just dont wont to buy the f'er and have some issues with it. Im going to have to pay a little more because im making payments on a rig not paying cash.

I think 7k for any car with 150k miles on it is too much. I got mine out the door for 7k @ 88k miles

I have since modified it to more tighter in my quest to eliminate the "hum monster" I used a pipe cutter to shorten it about two inches and just yesterday bent the mount part so I could screw it down properly. If you still want it let me know and you can have the blue filter and the K&N. I'm thinking of getting just a K&N drop in filter to get the job done.

Does it look all ghetto now that it's chopped and bent? I just wanted it for a spare cuz they don't make my intake anymore But I don't think I'd want it if it's chopped cuz I do the cold air with the bypass anyway

I just purchased a 98 3.0CL for $4900 from a private party. The car has 141K mile. The body was a little dinged, but car runs great.

They'll def run great for you, mine's been sitting in my garage disassembled for going on 9-10 months now, and she still starts right up everytime I turn the key
