Shhhh!

The 2.2/2.3 5 spd won't handle the torque from the 3.0. I'd suggest waiting for Acura to offer the manual on the CL-S next year & see if that's easily swappable or not.

Ok, how about this... what about the possibility of having our tranny's rebuilt as a 5 or 6 speed... it has to be possible, but I imagine the price is too much to think about... lol, anyone know????????

STOP YELLING!!!

A sequential semiautomatic tranny for Imprezas runs about $30,000 apiece, so these things aren't too cheap.

Hey I couldn't get to that link either. Anyways the closest thing I could find that might work for switch to a manual is the NSX 3.2 6-speed transmittion. The 3.0 NSX only has the 4 speed sportshifter. The 3.0 CL has about 195lb.-ft of torque and the 3.2 NSX has 224lb.-ft of torque. That is the 2001 NSX, so I am not sure of earlier models, but you might want to check into that.

go on the freeway @ about 100 with your seatbelt on. make sure you have your foot on the gas all the way then throw that shit into reverse. if you survive, you'll get a new car. buy a 5 speed with the insurance money if you can walk. jackass.
