Thinking about my second car...

I have a G20 in mind, like a 99-02 model.

4 cylinder, effiecent, quick enough for me, and somewhat luxurious.

I want something comfortable to drive in and gas efficient too (college student, no dough for gas).

What do you guys think, should I go for it or get something else?

Maybe I DO want a 4door CL!

I'm selling my CL.

If KBB doesn't lie, G20's have the same horsepower. A little less torquey, but they're also lighter.

much like the CL is an accord beneath the panels. My friend has an early 90s G20, its nice. Very agile as that engine loves to rev.

thats not a bad choice at all especially in navy blue, but you should consider other options.. another 2.2cl, accord lx 2dr or 4dr, vw golf or jetta, there are many comfortable options, just stay away from the salvage yard! clean titles ftw

my girlfriend had a G-20. I remember that car, reminded me of an old nissan sentra. The engine died on her. They're apparently not as reliable back then so stick to the later years and models. Mods easily available and yes, the car is light and stops real well compared to my CL. I would hav eliked to have driven a stick model to see what the engine can really kick out. Good luck.

My friend is pushing 300K Kms on his, no problems except minor electrical crap and rust. The stick model is quick, espically with the racing clutch he's got on it and a 7500rpm redline.

Are you driving a CL now? I mean that's a pretty efficient car the way it is. I would get something that responds to mods really well if I were to get a second car. The way gas prices are going makes me want to ride the bus the way it is, let alone get a second car. All depends what you want I guess, but if you are looking for a car that is good on gas, and isn't too expensive; well, you already have it in a CL.

the G20 isnt a bad choice, the SR20DE isnt a bad motor.

but if you can get an 02-05 Civic EX or the new 06+ you'll be getting 40 mpg highway.

i also agree the g20 is nice.

get a bike.

awesome on gas. very compact, you can park anywhere and maneuver easily. like riding through rush hour traffic or shoulder lanes. its the fastest thing on the streets.

down side, is you're more prone to serious injuries.

its good fun though

I always loved those G20's, If I were to get a reliable, somewhat sporty 4-door, that'd be the one. I was looking at them around the time I foudn the cl, they were out of my price range then but they are definitely a great car and comfortable too. I've always liked infiniti
