think I'm gonna get the srt-4 instead.....
this car is in my budget and it's quick...only factors are questionable is it's reliability and the looks which is unappealing anyone know who has one and what they say about it?
Well before you do that take this into account, i have alot of respect for srt-4's but when it lost to a 6bold dsm with minor mods and the srt had second stage mopar, which is a good amount of hp, i was very sad. the srt-4 has the mopar turboback exo wit the side port muff the stage 2 injectors turbo mani and all that good stuff i think he was at like 275 to the wheels or something, and when that lost to a dsm with intake, boost controller d-pipe and exo i was like damn you spend all that money on that car so it could get straigth beat by a 92 dsm that sucks.

Please don't get a neon
What the hell is with all these peeps wanting srt-4's? Nothing but a bunch of traders. If you want something that everybody and there sister can buy and be quick, by all means go for it. If you want something to call your own get an rsx throw a couple mods on it and be done, happy, and satisfied. The whole point to modding is doing something original. buying a factory suped up car is in my opinion, very unoriginal.

if your going to jump ship go subie. legacy gt to be exact. how can you go acura to neon? i'm loving my stage II an dheated leather seats
oh yeah dont forget about insurance on that thing. sti power without sti insurance ownz
there are 05 gts out there that can be had for 24-25k. some even brand new! im biased but i could never buy a neon. if your're staying honda the new accord is unfortunately really nice and way better buy then the tsx if you ask me.

good ahead if you want a car with a huge antenna on the hood, roll down rear windows, and the ugliest interior. but i still love the way it sounds and its as fast as shit. my boy has one with some minor mods and driving that is such a whole new expierience compared to my car.
honestly for the money you cant beat it... however its a neon. in 5 years it wont be worth shit. look at the daytona shelby's turbo 4 cyl. they lost thier value so fast caust they are just daytona's in the end. i got a homeboy with one he loves it.. but everyone and thier third cusin has one. i know here in tampa i go out to the street races, and im not exadurating (spelling) here, out of say 300 cars at the races, theres atleast 50-60 of them there. just as many as the civic hatches.
why dont you just get a 03 6 speed.. you can find one of those for around 20g's and still be origional. and be able to kick some ass.

The SRT-4 is one of the best FWD starting platforms for drag racing. And it's the fastest FWD car, stock, ever made in the history of automobiles.
Sure it looks like a bumble-bee on steriods, but you can't deny its performance.
Just because one doesn't make a 17 second shitbox run 11s, and starts off with a descent platform instead, doesn't mean that he can't mod it because it's not original. (And even with that said, I don't think that modding a slow car to make it run faster can still be considered "original" today.)
Some people care more about timeslips than being original.
Some people care more about rice @ car shows than timeslips.
And some people care more about building equity than modifying cars.
It boils down to one's personal goals as well as his or her tastes.
My advice to devasta: You want to do FWD drag-racing? Probably no better choice than an SRT-4. Only downside is you may not be able to buy them new anymore, and their warranties are running out. But if drag racing's really what's on your mind, why not get an LS1 F-body, or a 5.0? Much better platforms for dragging. Whatever your choice, good luck!
its a freakin fast car for your money... but when i'm in it... it feels like a rental car. you can still see the the inner door lining when the door is closed... the center console looks cheap... it just feels like a rental car. But i wouldn't mind having one handed down to me... but i rather have a wrx.
