Think i'll tak my Cl to the street legal drags - what should I expect?
Hey guys...
I'm big into drag racing, though I usually do it with my 351w powered 1991 mustang GT. My summer insurance expires at the end of the month for the stang, but some friends are planning to hit the track in october for one last outting before the snow flies. I thought it might be fun to see what my dailey driver bone stock 97 CL 3.0 will do in the 1320.
So has anyone here run thier CL at the track. I'm actually really curious what to expect. Are 15s possible all stock?

I'm a drag race junky, and I can't just go and watch so i'm gonna race the CL for the hell of it (if 16 second passes can even be concidered racing). There's a TON of slow ass imports at the drags so I won't be totally out of place.
I'll post my results.

Well, I wasn't the slowest import there by a long shot, but it was embarrasing I'm used to 12.3s@114 mph in the other car, the acura however.....
Ran a whopping 15.98@89.9 MPH with a 2.23 60' on a 12 degree day (best pass and last pass of the day). The other 3 runs were all 16s with a worst pass of 16.4@88.5mph and a 2.45 60'. I was happy to break into the 15s at least. The cool weather helped a bunch.
She's slow, but I love her none the less.
I'll post up some time slips as soon as I can get access to a scanner.
