dude my car is doing somethink like that, only it's the front right. When the momentum of the car changes, (like if i give it gas or downshift) I hear a kinda loud thud coming from somewhere near my front right wheel. No idea what it is. At first I thought it was my CAI hitting in the engine bay, but i switched to short ram for a day and the noise continued. Anyone know what this could be???

What kind of noise is it? If ride comfort and handling are fine and there's no oil leaking from the shock, it should be okay. Most likely the noise is from a loose bolt somewhere. Have a friend ride in the back seat or walk next to the car and see if he/she can pinpoint where the noise is coming from.

well, after I heard the noise. I park my car and I noticed that my rear wheel gap is closer now... if the shock is blown, would the car lower or not?

thanks guys

A failed shock doesn't affect your ride height (unless your spring perch is broken off, but then you'd have major problems!) :p.

The springs hold the car up. The shocks prevent the springs from going boingboingboingboing.
