temp issue

as of late it's been 90 degree weather here in jerz.my car's temp has been acting strange..i beat my car on the way to the beach 90 plus sometimes in d3 with the a/c on.when i hit traffic the temp rose above halfway point.when traffic started moving it dropped down quick as it should.now sometimes with a/c on or off when i drive for a bit the temp goes to the halfway point.i looked,as did my mechanic and found nada.sometimes she runs fine for long periods of time, others it runs a bit hot.what could be the problem?thermostat was just replaced also.....

thats what mine does, except i have a hole in my radiator and need to replace it asap.
and i tried stepping on it one time, took it to 4k and as the rpms were going up, my temperature gauge went down to normal and as soon as i stopped, it shot back up above middle

when is the last time the radiator has been flushed? try that, it's really easy. Also try the clutch fan, see if it's running. The only things that will really keep it from going hot are your fan, radiator, and thermostat. If you already tried the thermostat, try the other 2.

im having the same problem where sometimes the temp rises up over half, but my problem is one of my radiator fans is running slow. i just have to whack it with a wrench til all the sand falls out of it and it gets back to normal for a while. damn all the dump trucks on the turnpike

Yes, get a switch for it.

Btw subbz, I was going to recommend the thermostat and to have your fans checked.
