Temp gauge goin up!

Any idea of what may be wrong if my temp gauge is going up too high? Its done it twice and I turned on the heater to cool down the engine. The fan blows and I just got the coolant and water pump changed with my timing belt. Maybe the thermostat? Any help would be cool fellas.

don't think there's a leak. I checked the ground and under the car.

i think that it sounds like a leak, drive the car about 10 mins to get the flow of fluids going, come back park it in a clean area and then come check under the car in a half hour, if its green ops, you need to get it checked out, notice turn off your ac due to that you may have water down there too when you do this

Look around the engine compartment (look and smell). Some leaks are not that apparent (if they are small). It could also be a kinked hose.

Try driving it around for a half an hour with the ac on and then park it in the driveway with the engine and ac still on and see if the temp gauge goes up and if the ac is no longer cool. If so it's your Radiator fan. Happens to lots of CLs and Accords that I know of that's why there's always replacements on ebay, a high demand item I would say. This is all I have to offer, hope it helps you.

If it's not the fan then it's another item to eliminate from the list!!!

Yeah this happens to lots of cls I've noticed. There should be a recall for this. Defective fans!!!! And the God Damned 3.0 trannies should be added to the top of the list. Hehe!!

Anyhow, you should have just done it yourself. Goto autozone pick one up for about $80 then switch it out yourself. Pretty easy task and the pride of having done it yourself.

$308??? Where did you get that done? But what's done is done.
