Honda engines tend to have loud valves... but if they seem too loud, a valve adjustment may be needed.

A set of feeler gauges ($10), a 10mm open end wrench, and factory service manual will do the job.

If you wanna try it I'll look up the intake and exhaust valve clearance and post it here.

im thinking if u tighten the intake and exhaust valves just a lil bit more so that the valves open more wont that add power to the car. I think so since there will be more air coming in the engine and more air coming out with less retriction. The only downside is that the car might idle a little rough. What u think???

As long as you stay within the spec range you ought to be alright.

Dont want the valves hitting the pistons.

i had my valves adjusted at the dealership and it made no difference, they were still loud... about 3 months later i switched to mobil 1 synthetic oil and the valves were noticibly quieter. if you haven't used it give it a try, may help with the noise.

I just adjusted mine last weekend and much quieter... I believe the "bible" suggested exhaust @ 12 and intake @ 10 (maybe it was opposite)... so i did mine at 9 and 11- (.009 & .011)
I also advanced my timing a few degrees... gotta run plus now- at least... but i don't wanna get into that whole "gas" discussion HAHA ... That's JMO!

Since i'm on the subject- i also threw an ignition in... :P ...
Eh... not much difference if any.
