Tanabe vs. Magnaflow Situation

I have the opportunity to buy a Tanabe G power cat back for a $160 (used)

im currenty using a magnaflow muffler with a 18" resonator. Which do u think is better for me. To re-pipe my magnaflow 2.25" crush bent. Or pickup a Tanabe system for $160 and have 2.3" mendrel bent. Only thing thats stopping me from buying a tanabe is how ugly it might look. i love the way my dual tip looks now.

yea i hate those tips.

run 22'' resonator with 2.5 piping and pick your muffler.

I use a Buddy Club muffler and I get complements.

I think its a bit loud though.

what's wrong with tanabe? But mine isn't that one though. Why change it out when you already have an exhuast daniel. Spend the money on something else.

Magnamuff all the way.

Do it right change the crushed piping to mandrel bent with 22" resonator and put on a permanent smile

Just get some mandrel bent for your magnamuff and save yourself some cheddar.

my h22 is suffering from the 1.5" piping or watever is stock. but $160 for a tanabe setup is good.. I guess ill save my money for a system thats good looking and good performing..

I was quoted around $350-$400 for mandrel bent piping. It's an expensive machine that they use. The owner showed me around and how it all worked.

That's why I thought $160 was a steal.

From what I was told, it's a $100,000 machine. And your average shop will not have that sort of equipement.

Depends on the shop, most exhaust shops around here have them, especially the chain stores

There's a shop 10 mins from where i'm at that does everything muffler-related. I got my headers cut, repositioned, rewelded and added a small tubing section for $35... cheap as f*ck for the quality job.
