I know a while ago I was on here talking about swaps but I was in the hospital (appendicitis and an ensuing infection) but does anyone know hard a k24 swap would be? Is that the same motor that is in the CRV (heard it was IDK)? Has anyone swapped a 3.0 into a 2.2 and left the 2.2 tranny in? Does anyone know if a 3.2 type S motor would fit?

the k24 is found in the newer accords and tsx. might be in the new crv too. some people have done it but its been a lot of work and it seems its not worth the money. the v6 engine is in no way compatible with the 4 cyl from their transmisions to the way they sit in the engine. so that rules out that swap. if you have a 4cyl your best bet is a h22 or h23. those swaps are super easy because the f22 and h22 are very similar engines and have a lot of the same sensors and the mount almost the same. do a search and you will find a TON of info. or feel free to pm me if you have any questions that you arent clear on.

Is the Prelude Sport Shift tranny any good? I don't mind auto's, I just hate the one in the CL cause it doesn't know what gear to be in most of the time. If I find one if and when my tranny goes out, I may think of doing this swap...maybe the H22 also if I have the money.

BTW, I've ruled out a manual swap because I just don't want to bother with it. If I want a manual, I'll just buy a new or second car.
