Swapping Heads

Here is my story: My friend just bought a honda accord 94 with a f22b1 engine. The guy he bought it from gave my friend with the deal a head and all its kit that he claims that it was his next project for that honda. The guy claims that its a twin cam head that would fit the honda engine and that it would add close to 40hp to the car. My friend gave me all the parts because he has no idea what all this means.

Now, I was thinking to my mind,, " maybe this would work on my car". I tried searching online for an answer and came back empty handed. I don't know what kind of car this head came off of, all i know is that it says VTEC DOHC.

I don't have a good knowledge of this subject so i would really appreciate your patience and help if possible.

Before I post any pictures of parts, would you please tell me if a head swap on a f22b1 would work the same on a f22b ?

Thanks

I think with proper tuning and ecu it would work, but I definitely wouldn't try doing it yourself.

This type of swap is called a g22 swap, basically you swap an h22 DOHC head onto the f22 block. There are several threads about this swap on here, most were unsuccessful but a couple people pulled it off
