Superwhite Indiglo Gauges

Anyone ever have a problem with them randomly going out? I check the power! Fine. I check the ground! Fine. I'm beginning to think I got a bummed transformer. If I tap on it (well bang on it) sometimes they will come back up. Just wondering if this had happened to anyone.

The same thing happened when I had it on my 96 Accord. That's why I haven't bought another one for my CL because I'm afraid the same thing may happen. I don't exactly know what causes it. I probably got a defective one, too.

i was told that if you connect the indiglos to your dimmer, that can cause them to blow out n stop working...thats why i hooked mine up to the headlights. thats something you could check out..

mine work awesome, and if you buy them make sure you get the ones that have their own dimmer switch! dont run it into the factory dimmer.

I got the ones with their own dimmer, they can glow white or switch to blue. Not attached to the factory dimmer at all. It's messed up, I think I got a bummed transformer :-(

I've heard that even though it wont weigh the needles down that much it, that painting them might throw them off alittle bit. I have also heard of people using markers to color them.

Has anybody heard about reflective marker? One guy at OfficeMax mentioned to me that there is one but won't find it in OfficeMax.

Hey where do you get the gauges for our car? Whenever I look for them, all I find is Integra gauges; do we share Accord parts in that genre also? I really want to get the gauges...

You can use the ones from a 94-97 Accord. They fit fine check out www.groupbuycenter.com for some good prices they even have reverse indiglo i think. You can also check ebay, there is a guy on there that sells them for the CL

So what about needle painting?
I have white needles and don't think it looks good with white indiglos.
Anyone heard of reflective marker or glow marker?

I have been thinking about getting indiglo's and everyone here says to get them with a dimmer switch. What does the switch look like(pic would be nice)? Does it mount on the out side of the dash or do you pick your color you want to glow and then tuck it under your dash? Is there anyway possible to hook it up to the factory dimmer control and have it work without blowing them out? How do you install them I have no idea how to take off that pastic cover to get to the gauges. Any info would be helpful.

I've had mines hooked up to the factory dimmer switch for over year now with no blowup(knock on wood) problems. The gauges do flicker at certain settings however. The ones I got were from www.nrauto.com. Although I think these new ones that come with their own dimmer switch are made by some other company. My friend has a set on his Civic, colorwise it does not appear as 'colorful' (can't think of another word) as the ones I got.

Just wondering, the superwhite indiglos people are talking about...Do they glow WHITE or they are white faced and glow blue(or green) like all the others?

Hey KikAzCL97
The dimmer is just an ugly knob (cylinder like) that you twist to dim or brighten the gauges. It also has a toggle switch under the knob to change the color of the gauges. I just picked the blue color set the brightness and tucked the switch under the dash. I'll see if i can find a pic.
Oh i think they pretty much all come with a dimmer switch
