Supercharger!!!

I thought I read that the accord v6 supercharger would not work for the first gen CL? Well I decided to pick up a copy of the june issue of Sport Compact Car and they have an article on a "Supercharged Comptech Accord V6" . When they talk about putting it in they say "anyone who has peered into a V6-powered Accord, CL, TL, Odyssey, or MDX knows the one thing they have in common is a lack of engine bay space". That got me to think is the accord one going to fit or are they finally going to make a first gen cl kit???? so they keep going on just about the SC and the specs and stuff then towards the end they say "Comptech says its supercharger kit for the 98-and-later Accord and base model CL and TL models should be on sale about the same time as this issue hits the stands. A kit for the CL and TL Type S (Including six speed manual CL) should hit the market soon after that". So it sounds like us first gens will get a supercharger right??? bad thing I have a 97 and it says 98 and later but I am sure it will work.

Oh No!!!!
Dont tell Dustbuster,
the poor guy will go into debt over this one. I'm gonna have to pick up that issue next time I'm out. Did you try going to Comptech's site to check it out?

Too late!!!!!! :P

I figure I can get at least $5000.00 for my daughter (even though she's already 4 y.o.) which will pay for the Supercharger plus installation. I'm gonna need the extra power to out run my wife and her lawyer, once they find out what I've done!

Seriously, check this out: Dyno of Comptech Supercharger!!!!!!!!!.

Since when is the Accord (or the CL then) a "compact" car? If it is, then what is a Geo considered?

Better question is, what is an "E-Ram Supercharger" in CO30CL sig?

SCC is a pretty popular mag, so although it is called "sports compact car" it includes other cars also.

See e-ram info at:
http://www.electricsupercharger.com/.../Autoframe.htm
I noticed biggest improvement from it at top-end. I never heard of SCC before, but then I haven't looked for mags in a while either. I'll definitely try to get a copy of this one tho.

It's called "SHIT!"

D4, If you get the SC, then you will need more than just that to outrun the wife and lawyers.

I got the mag, read it twice, now trying to figure out how long can I live on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, corn chips, bagged cereal and day old bread!

WE FINALLY HAVE A MOD FOR THE 1st GENS!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy I could pee on myself!

I just went to my nearby Borders book store and they didn't have SCC in. Does the article say it'll fit the 1st gen 3.0 CLs? I did however get a copy of Honda Tuning which has an article on it, but makes no mention of the 1st gens.

Yea, Ross blew out his 2nd gear right away and it took some custom work to make it fit. They plan on making on for the 2nd gen CL's, not 1 gen. But, with some custom work you can make it fit, I guess (plus a magical new tranny that won't blow)

Hey CO30Cl, did you have the intake before you installed that e-ram charger? Has anybody heard of this thing before? They had dynos on the webpage and it seemed to give some gains. Which do you think gave you more of an increase, the pullies of that e-ram?

I installed the e-ram and the cai at the same time and *wow*. However, when I unplug the e-ram I notice less top-end. The pullies came later, noticed a little, not as much as cai, but every bit adds up. My gains may not be typical since I drive at 6,000 ft elevation where air is scarce. Hopefully make that frickin' sc work...
