Yeah buddy. And you're just jealous Fred wasn't selling an upside down pair when you were ready to do yours. See what happens when you're an originator?

Alright, maybe cause I don't own a bank... LOL but IMO. I think 400 bucks is a lot so iono how it's possible to have spent over 1k. Lolol. Maybe im just cheap. Who knows.. But ad for shnees projo fog light. Would they give the output I want? Like that airplane wing I call it? ;] cuhs if it does, I wanna aim for that. Also unless im doing the math wrong, for shnees projo fog lamp + bulb + ballast = approximately 100 bucks? Am I missing anything? I mean I know im missing the button.. But anything else? As for the weatherproof thing for the fog light. Iono how that works... Anyone wanna explain it? LOL sorry im such a noon. So many questions. ;(

you gotta think of other factors also. since it seems that this is the first time you are doing this. if you mess up your headlamps you might have to buy new ones. im not sure where you are getting 100 bucks from? remember with your math, you have to 2x since you need both sides.

dont fog lamp and ballast + bulb usually come with both side? O_o the 100 bucks.. turns out more like 125 just for the stuff. heres what i found..

http://www.hidextra.com/h3-3000k-111...d3eabb6f381677
thats $60

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Projector-F...ctor_sku75.htm

thats $45

or if i dont get it from HIDextra..

http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/Ap...Raptor-HID-Kit

thats 30 + shipping = about $40.

so about $100 bucks. unless im retarded and im missing a lot of other stuff? :\

Also, i was thinking of just bringing my car to a shop and have someone install those fog lamps + light for me. dunno how much thats gonna cost but yea.. $100 + installation i guess. Am i missing anything? >_< btw. those projos, i think theyre the same one as Shnee's. But if i get these, i hope...HOPE to get that airplane wing looks with either 3K or 6K HID fog with those projos. :\ correct me if im wrong on anything. im

mine cost me 300 bucks. the reason the light shoots off the sides is cause they are curved at the edges.

and i meant good luck cause you'll probly never find a set of these fogs. :p

ohh haha okay. well you know how u said that the reason the light shoots off to the side is cause it is curved at the edges?.. if i mount my fog lights side way. like not straight but slightly tilted towards the side, will i get that effect?

have you thought of if you want some type of housing for these fogs. it would be super sketchy to see a bunch of wires near you bumper. i hope this works out well for you mang.

Could just do projector headlights, then there's no real need for fogs

haha i just wanted fogs.. i dont feel like changing the headlights to projo. so was my math right? haha should be about 100-125 bucks to add fogs in then right? i just dont know what else am i missing from that math.. i feel like those are the only basic things i need but im not sure if im missing anything. I dont know how to contact shnee but i wanna know if his foglights create that long light effect that i want. Also ive been thinking for a long time now.. Since i have 8K low beam.. should i do 3K fogs or like 5-6k fog? either super yellow fog or white ish fog.

I got a set that looks exactly like those on ijdmtoy from autozone and I didn't like the way they looked on the car so I took them back off. They are cheaper at autozone also and I even saw them at Walmart even cheaper than the ones I have. They aren't the same name brand as the ones on that website they are made by Blazer and are ultra white series and they have black housings instead of silver/chrome. Here is a link http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=618333_0_0_
I think they were like 29 bucks at Walmart but I am not 100% sure on that

Most of your questions are just personal preference, we can't tell you if you want 3000K or 6000K, you have to decide what color fog light you want. You can do the whole setup for about 150 that's for sure, the fogs and fog wiring shouldn't be that expensive. As for the hid kit, it's also personal preference, I know a lot of guys on here really like the ddm kits

i had a 2001 civic (em2) and had yellow fogs for $30 ebay im pretty sure, and gave them to a friend with a 97 cl and all he did was flip them upside down and they fit pretty nice only problem is tht there is a small gap from the top of the fog to bumper. you cant see unless u bend down and look.

i know that 3k and 6k is personal preference, but i like both of them thats why. but i havent really seen the output of 3k and 6k fog close up. i hope if i get 3k, it makes that long wide line too. ok im thinking of getting that projo fog light the same one as shnee's and getting the ddmtuning 3k bulb + ballast. then i needa find someone to help me install it :\ OHH and i still need the button T_T

Okay so I called a Honda dealer and u told them I wanted the 1997 Honda accord switch and they said like 24 bucks. Will that be the right switch and about the right price? Also since im installing fogs and I assume taking off the bumper is required ad im paying for the labor already, is it possible to clear my sidemarkers or remove the orange color? I heard some cars can do that but some can't... Can I get rid of my orange sidemarkers/ clear it for my 98 Acura cl? If there's like a DIY thread for this, anyone know the link or instructions? If it's possible and it's hard, I wanna just get it cleared while im installing my fog lights. :/

the whole lens is yellow so the only way to make them clear is to buy clear corners. I didn't remove my bumper to install the fogs when I had them on mine so i don't think that will be necessary for you either

I have one that was busted and I will go out there to make sure about the lens. I just run the wires with everything still on the car and hid them behind everything, its not hard to do because you can reach down between the grill and the radiator support all the way down to the grill where these will be mounted

Yes that's the right fog switch and price

And you have to buy new corner lenses, the plastic is orange, it's not a film

Unhappy Help with fog light for my cl!!!

Hi, srry to bother you guys again. I tried looking through the forum and I posted about getting fog lights about 2 weeks ago... So I finally got my lamp, hid bulb, and the ballast and also the fog light switch for my 98 Acura cl. Then I took my car to a shop and asked them to help me install it with the switch i got because I don't want it wired to the headlight. I put in the switch already but the guy at the shop said this car doesn't come with wires.. But it does because I hooked it with the switch already and then he said he can't find the other side of the wire(output side). So im now confused. Can anyone please show me or tell me where the output of the wire is? Pictures would be great too! Also is there anything else im missing? I got te switch, the lamp, bulb and the ballast. Thanks a lot!

From what im told, its located along the firewall in the engine bay. I think the connector is hidden under a piece of tape and connected to another harness? I still havent found it either....

there is a harness along the fire wall that goes to the switch on the console, but you will need to make your own harnesses to go to the actual bulb housings, unless you somehow got the OEM kit that comes with it all (i think, not sure)

so you're saying the harness/wire thats connected to the switch i put in there myself does not reach all the way to the bulb? GAH! so how do i make my own harness? Is there an easy way to this? i would like the fog on a seperate switch and not with the low beam together :\. this is really frustrating. i wish someone lives near me and does it for me and ill just pay them..

if I am not mistaken (I have never done it myself) the switch wires (you hooked up) go through the firewall and in the engine compartment. It may have a end on it where you can plug a opposite plug into it if you had the factory fog light harness (to the fog lights) but if you don't you can just splice into that plug with the new wires thats supplied with your fog lights and them work like they did from the factory. I hope this wasn't to confusing but thats how I understand it
