My son's '97 2.2 CL was parked at a lake house for a gathering of friends. A 'person' had to leave and without asking my son's permission proceeded to move my son's car (took the keys out of his gym bag) so he could get his car out. This intellectual moron left the drivers side door open while backing up and hit a trailer thus bending the door forward. His insurance will be repairing (Progressive Ins.) the car and it will be fixed at John Eagle Acura, tho ONLY cetrified Acura body shop in Houston. Anyone with experience with this type of repair what should my son look for when he goes to pick up the car? Any help truly appreciated.

 

only thing he can really look for is new parts, allignment of the door to make sure there is no rubbing and if it spainted to make sure the paint is matched ok... Other than that.... its really justr a new door, new hinge and maybe new fender!!!

 

Ouch, I would check in the door jam for exsive "hacking" and beating it out.. That's a touch thing to fix, and I hope they have a laser frame alignment machine.
