so i was driving west yesterday and it was right about sunset and i almost got into an accident since the sunset light was reftlected of the millions of tinny stone chips i have on my windshield .. so i realized it has passed the annoying part and its reaching the dangerous level !! nyhow for me to put an after market windshield is going to run me 200$ which is not too bad but i was wondering since its my original windshield and the original costs 600$
(canadian) is there any way to polish it or use this new windshield repair they do ??!
i know u can sand the headlights so im guessing this should be possible aswell ??!
ps . i asked a shop and they said that the new method is only for fixing cracks or big stone chips not little marks !! is that right ??

 

most insurance companies provide for windshield repair/replacement with zero deductible once per year or something like that. I had mine fixed for free not too long ago. ask your insurance company.

 

hehe myfriend insurance companies up here in the good old KANADA (specialy ontario) are raping people .. so bad that even if we get into an actuall accident up to 2-3000$ the parties dont report and pay outa their own pockets .. any sort of claim on ur reccord and ur coverage is raised buy about 10% for the next period ..
i am 21 years old .. and was paying 720$ a month and now i onlu have one way coverage for 540$ a month ..
so i guess dont worry about the insurance part plz tell me how u got it done ??

mine wasn't as bad as yours... I just had some chips in the glass and I had a detail shop fix it. I have no idea what they did.

i live in canada too but my insurance only costs $1400/year coz i did have 8 years of "safe" driving after which u get a 40% discount on insurance...if i didn't i'd be payin outta my ass... 8 years of safe driving? hell no...i just managed to screw up everyone else's insurance while mine stayed unscathed...
