Stocks are back on....
Yeap, woke up this morning and it was snowing.
So I just got done taking off my 18's...Car now looks
like shit.
Car rides a lot smoother with the higher profile stock tires
though

Hehe, I roll on 16's in the summer & drop down to 15" Arctic Alpins on steel rims in the wintertime. That should be rectified by a few inches after this winter season though.
Snow is great, I always go out for powerslides & donuts (in the Subaru) whenever it snows a lot. The speeds are so low it's pretty impossible to lose it. Plus it's not like it's wearing out your tires.

Oh my gosh. All this talk about snow is making me have flashbacks. I love the snow... but, last year while en route to some hiking trails, I got myself stuck in a ditch (no damage, thank God). I was getting tired and wanted to swap drivers. I didn't realize that what looked like level ground was actually snow piled up in a ditch alongside the road. So, as I pulled over thinking it was solid ground, the front end of my CL plowed right in! The tail was up in the air and the rear tire was barely touching the asphalt. God I was scared. Luckily, after 20 minutes of pushing and rocking the car finally budged. That incident really made me strongly consider getting an Outback! Anyway, that was my little snow story just thought I'd share. BTW, how do the rest of us who live in the areas where they use salt and sand on the roads battle with the maintenance and try to prevent rusting???

sorry to hear about the snow guys. Here in Houston it only snowed like once and it was like 1 inch.:P Its mostly hot ass hell here. But if it rains in winter we have ice on the roads which can be a bitch. Not fun at all. when it is clean i just sit back ..slam on the gas pedal and enjoy the ride while the CAI sucks in all the cold air!!

First, Z rated tires (Nitto 555's) will go absolutly nowhere in snow covered roads. I once
got stuck in like an inch of snow and it was because my tires just spun...
Second, yeah all the salt and sand they put on the roads to melt the ice/snow really can ruin your wheels (and car for that matter) in a hurry.
I need to move away from here..

i wash my car alot and rinse underneath good and everythign still looks good. no rust probs. but i have to say with my stock rims and tires i got stuck in a nasty storm last year and my cl never once got stuck. there was easily 6" of snow on the ground even with all the ppl driving on the road. there was easyl more then 1ft off the road. trees and powerlines falling down everyhwere. it was a mess. i had fun driving by the rwd lexus and lincolns. hahah. i hope i dont get in that situation agian, but at least i know what the car can do if u know how to drive carefully in the snow. i was very proud of my little 2.2 that day
